City Voices at URBIS
Client: At Large and Manchester City Council
A major project of 21 short films in which Mancunians speak of their lives and affection for their home town. Made in partnership with the At Large architectural consultancy for the new Museum of the City, Manchester. We devised an interactive, splitscreen interface which combined filmed interviews, portraits and local scenes with supporting typographical biogs. The films were on permanent display and Viewing Areas were sited on three levels of the building, each comprising a menu of seven films, accessed from controls built into the viewing seats. Our team included Manchester documentary photographer Aidan O’Rourke
